Balingen - Papenburg, February 2012: The Brombach + Gess GmbH & Co. KG, recently could achieve one of the most prestigious awards in the international shipbuilding industry. After the awards for the years 2006 and 2010, the company got the award again in 2011 as a "Partner of the Year" of Meyer Werft GmbH.

2007 was the first award ceremony of Meyer Werft GmbH, "Partner of the Year 2006", Brombach + Gess were already successful here and won the award. This award is based on the supplier rating that was introduced in 2005 within the framework of the shipyard's supplier management.

Since the Meyer Werft GmbH is one of the world's largest shipyards for the construction of cruise ships, this award has grown into an international hallmark of excellence of the cruise ship industry. There are no more questions – a "Partner of the Year", awarded by Meyer Werft, is working in the absolut upper league. 2010, it worked again. With that, Brombach + Gess consolidate its leading position among the suppliers. Remarkable - throughout the duration of the price, only one company has been awarded twice. Brombach + Gess is a rather small supplier among the more than 2,000 competitors.

Early February it works again: Brombach Gess was honored as "Partner of the Year 2011" and is the only supplier who could win this award 3 times now.

Balingen, 10^th of February 2011 - The importance of both regional and national suppliers to the Meyer Werft have been shown once again significantly at this year's Supplier Award "Partner of the Year 2010". The representatives of powerful partners in the marine equipment industry were invited to "Alte Werft" in Papenburg. In the limelight of the event was the award for the partner of the year the fifth time. Meyer Werfts best suppliers were selected by their assessment system. Suppliers, who have excellent performance in aspects of commercial, delivery reliability, quality, organization and safety were awarded at the event.

Brombach and Gess 2010 were awarded for the second time since 2006 as partner of the year in equipment.

The selection was based on provider assessments conducted for the ships AIDAblu and Celebrity Eclipse, who were delivered by the Papenburg shipbuilders in 2010 to the shipping companies AIDA Cruises and Celebrity Cruises.

Service- Extension

We are pleased to offer our customers an internet account to view the window plans of the ships we built.

In this way, finding the window position is facilitated by a multiple, while replacements can be carried out faster. You get further informations in the "login" area.

Product line extension

Due to the developments in recent years, we are pleased to operate with an expanded product range for our customers. In addition to a certified A60 and A0 fire glazing, we now offer sliding doors, sliding windows and roof windows.

As with any product from Brombach + Gess, the target is to get the highest possible transparency combined with an ideal function. This target has been achieved in any new product line. For example the sliding doors introduced for the first time on the "Sonnenkönigin", in fact leads to an invisible glass façade with sliding doors. Also on the new Celebrity Solstice, the new sliding windows prove by their high transparency.

Bonding technology

Bonding technology is used to directly bond glass to the structure of the ship, doing away with window frames. Tolerances become balanced by using adhesive of various strengths. A large advantage of the used adhesive (PU) is the remainding elasticity. This protects the glass against loads by the ship`s movements.

Assembly

Our assemblers are certified "European Adhesive Bonders" and have many years of experience in glass bonding in the marine sector.
